About

Rachael is a Registered Associate Nutritionist (MSc, ANutr) and Qualified Nutritional Therapist (DipION, mBANT, CNHC)  with a specialist focus on Fertility.  Rachael specialises in supporting clients to optimise their fertility via nutrition from conception to pregnancy and beyond.

After a 3.5 year battle to have a baby, which included 6 cycles of IVF stimulation, 4 egg collections, 2 IUIs, a natural pregnancy of twins which Rachael miscarried at 6 weeks, an ectopic pregnancy, a D&C, 2 shots of methotrexate, 297 self-administered injections, PGT-A genetic testing, Rachael had her son: Felix.

Rachael has over 9 years experience working privately with clients struggling with fertility. She has a particular interest in IVF and has carried out research with the University of Aberdeen on the impact of BMI on IVF outcomes.

Functional testing, tailored health and lifestyle changes and targeted supplementation can make a huge difference in the health of our hormones, quality of egg and sperm and ultimately improve our chance of conceiving and maintaining a healthy pregnancy. Rachael has a very tailored approach with her clients, we are all unique and need to be supported differently to get the best outcome.

Outside of clinical work Rachael loves yoga and reformer pilates as a way to strengthen and switch off.

How we can help

Our focus is to help people struggling with fertility challenges fall pregnant, stay pregnant and bring home their longed for baby through nutrition science and lifestyle medicine.

We achieve this by:

  • Preparing the body for pregnancy

  • Supporting body and mind through IVF

  • Recovery from miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy

  • Maintaining a healthy pregnancy

1. BESPOKE

You are unique, Your situation is unique. Our approach to supporting you is unique and evidence based.

The nutrients needed at different points of your fertility journey will change and so will our dietary plan for you.

By extensively tailoring our approach we optimise fertility for you, whether you are undergoing  a fresh or frozen IVF cycle, trying naturally or pregnant.

Rachael understands that fertility can take over your life and has a very practical approach to supporting clients with nutrition in a way that does not add to the mental load that they are already dealing with, or leave them feeling restricted. Rachael's approach is to create a plan which fits into your life, so that it is realistic and achievable - and makes you feel great!

We offer support both over a longer period of time and also for those who are on immediate timelines.

2. EXPERIENCE

The term 'it's a rollercoaster' was made for those experiencing fertility struggles.

We have extensive experience supporting clients going through IVF (fresh/frozen transfer), miscarriage, endometriosis, PCOS, low AMH, POI, advanced maternal age, male factor, DNA fragmentation.

The world of fertility is complex, and understanding hormones, conditions and how to use diet, lifestyle and supplementation to manage these is key.

3. WITH YOU EVERY STEP OF THE WAY

In addition to being a Registered Nutritionist, Rachael has lived her own fertility experience. This puts her in a unique position in being able to help both from a scientific perspective but also an emotional one.

Rachael has lived it: the injections, blood tests, waiting rooms, hospitals, embryologist calls, fear, loss, hope and everything in between.

Every day in clinic Rachael gets to witness the power of nutrition and lifestyle support for fertility outcomes and is dedicated to supporting every client with their unique situation. We want you to know that there is always hope.
